We are hosts from the bottom of our hearts. As such, we stand for genuine enjoyment and a real sense of well-being that can be traced back to our origins. At the Regitnig, you don't just get a nice shell. Behind this holiday resort is a solid foundation of love for the region, love for nature and love for people.

These are also our 3 Regitnig sustainability pillars - our guideline, if you like. Everything we do is realised with these pillars in mind.

Coming together as a family at the table, talking to each other and enjoying the food has always been important to us.
The kitchen is therefore the centrepiece of our house.
The products used by the Regitnig kitchen team are sourced from trusted suppliers and small local producers.
We don't like it ornate, but natural, regional and honest. A cuisine in which the ingredients take centre stage.

For us, the sustainable use of water and energy comes just as natural as the use of regional products in the kitchen. That is why we are delighted to have been awarded the Austrian Eco-label – the national quality seal for high ecological standards. We want future generations to enjoy nature’s beauty just as we do – and we do everything for it.

  • We save paper during bookings, check-ins, and with the Gastfreund Info app thanks to digitalisation.
  • We save detergents and water thanks to intelligent laundry management.
  • We reduce packaging thanks to our dosing system for cleaning agents.
  • We avoid waste through careful waste management.

What we do!

A small excerpt of our realisations for more sustainability at Regitnig:

Booking process: We save a lot of paper by digitising the entire booking process.

Arrival: We are a partner of the Weissensee Premium Card+ - why not travel by train in an environmentally friendly and stress-free way? The free nature park shuttle will be waiting for you at the railway station in Greifenburg and will take you to Regitnig and back to the station on your departure.

Check-In, Check-Out: Whether it's a registration form, registration or invoice - we save a lot of paper directly in the system

Car-free hotel complex: Have you booked one of our chalets or flats? We will take you to your holiday home on arrival, including your luggage, with our e-golf carts and back to your car or nature park shuttle on departure.

Guest information folder: We love our guest information app GASTFREUND. We can keep you up to date with lots of information directly on your mobile phone or tablet and you can also get in touch with us - it's easy and completely paperless! The paper we print for you for detailed information is made from 100% grass - in other words, it is grass paper.

Bed linen, towels: In order to save detergent and thus protect the environment, we only change the towels if you lay them on the floor or put them in the boxes in our chalets and flats.

We change the bed linen regularly for stays of 7 nights or more, otherwise we are happy to change it as required.

Detergents: We have switched the complete dosage of all detergents and cleaning agents to AUQANOMIC from our hygiene supplier ECOLAB: This programme delivers consistently good results with significantly reduced electricity consumption compared to conventional laundry programmes. As a result, we no longer need large disposable containers.

Detergents: We use a dosing system to fill the detergents - so we no longer need disposable packaging. We have chosen the dosing system according to the following principle. Principle: ‘As little as possible, as much as necessary!’

Waste - the Regitnig waste concept: In every area, our employees and we take great care to avoid waste. If this is not possible, we separate the waste in accordance with the waste management regulations. Thank you for helping us to do this:

In the hotel rooms and suites, we empty out the rubbish twice during a one-week holiday - this saves us a huge amount of small plastic bags. For holidays of less than 1 week, the rubbish is emptied once or disposed of on departure. If you need it emptied more often, please let reception know.

Our guests in the flats & chalets will find several rubbish islands in the hotel complex - please separate the rubbish according to the signs. Please put organic waste with the residual waste and glass bottles on the rubbish island.

Regitnig4Good – Charity

As a company, we see Regitnig as having a social responsibility. Families, women, and children are particularly close to our hearts, which is why we support them with various charity campaigns.

  • Christmas package campaign 2022: ‘Christmas in a shoebox’
  • Weihnachtspackerl Aktion 2021: Christmas presents distributed by Westbahnhoffnung to mothers and children in need.
  • Aid for Ukraine: Together with our suppliers “Eurogast Zuegg” and “Getränke Kandlhofer” we were able to deliver many needed relief goods to the Ukraine aid campaign of the city of Villach. From there they reach Mukachevo in Ukraine. As part of “Weissensee hilft”, a relief action that Jasmin started together with “Familien am Weissensee”, we took over the delivery of the goods to Villach.

For us, charity begins at home.
